You must have a customer account at a CIPF Mutual Fund Dealer member firm located outside Québec (as defined in the Coverage Policy) in order to be eligible for the CIPF protection afforded by the Mutual Fund Dealer Fund.

Review the list below to see if you are dealing with a CIPF Mutual Fund Dealer member firm.

Please note that CIPF protection is not available to customers for a mutual fund dealer account located in Québec, unless the member firm is also registered as an investment dealer. A mutual fund dealer account is considered to be located in Québec for the purposes of CIPF coverage if the office serving the customer is located in Québec.
